U.S. Army: Psychic Ray Guns

This item from the New Scientist reveals that the U.S. army has declassified info in its "Bioeffects of Selected Nonlethal Weapons" on supposed ray-gun type weapons that "would cause artificial fevers or beam voices into people's heads," among other things.

An odd little juxtaposition; earlier today on Facebook I saw that the FB game "Mafia Wars" has a new item in its game; a pink ray gun type item.

  1. I would be careful playing Mafia Wars, see article here -- http://consumerist.com/5400720/mafia-wars-ceo-brags-about-scamming-users-from-day-one

I hope to get my own ray gun some day, but I want it to be like the ones the MIBs on Fringe have. :)

  2. I'll check that out, thanks Lesley. I saw something about it on FB but didn't read it. I didn't want to get invovled with Mafia Wars because of the vibe; then again, I was a Sopranos fan and didn't end up on the dark side. Bored over vacation, I ended up playing the game, but after coming across things like the info in the link, I deleted my account. Way too many pointless time wasting games anyway. . .
